Cast Iron Coding was created in fall 2004 by longtime colleagues Zach Davis and Lucas Thurston. Zach and Lucas had been working on a freelance basis, and Cast Iron Coding is the product of their decision to start working as a team. After 6 years of life in New York, Zach moved to Portland in 2006 to bring the team under the same roof.
