Meet the Team: Lucas Thurston

Co-founder and Senior Developer

Lucas possesses nearly ten years of experience with web and PHP application development. He is a senior web developer and the co-founder of Cast Iron Coding. Lucas graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Linguistics and has lived in Oregon and upstate New York. Lucas is a strong promoter of current web development best practices and is an experienced practitioner of object oriented programming, modern PHP design patterns, domain-driven design, continuous integration, and test-driven development. Lucas has been building TYPO3 sites since 2003 and his knowledge of TYPO3's inner workings is unparalleled. As senior engineer and partner at Cast Iron Coding, Lucas has managed the buildout of large institutional TYPO3-driven sites and is well-versed in all aspects of web project management and production.

When not in the office, Lucas can most likely be found digging in his garden, biking with his family or taking on a household project that he's ill-equipped to complete.
